The M.A. in Global Sustainability offers nine concentrations and certificates, all concentrations are available in a traditional on-campus format and most are available fully online. See your concentration or certificate program interest for details. 

To apply, you will need to have an upper level GPA of at least 3.0 or greater and complete the following process. At least two letters of recommendation, academic are preferred. You must submit at least one (1) academic letter of recommendation from a professor (from your most recent institution) to be considered for the program. All letters should be signed, dated, and printed on the corresponding organization's letterhead, otherwise they will not be accepted.

International students who have not completed a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution must submit translated transcripts along with a letter from a qualified foreign transcript evaluation service certifying equivalency to the U.S. degree. Foreign transcript evaluation services approved by USF may be located at USF Office of Admissions.


ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT/TOEFL

International applicants from non-English speaking countries or who have not earned a degree in the United States must provide a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 taken within 2 years of the desired term of entry, a minimum PTE-A score of 53 or a minimum TEOFL score of 79 (internet-based test), 213 (computer-based test) or 550 (written test). Official scores must be submitted to USF directly from the testing agency, but applicants should upload unofficial copies of their test score reports to expedite the processing of their applications. Any admission granted using unofficial scores will not be finalized until official scores are received from the testing agency.

Applications submitted with TOEFL or IELTS scores that do not meet the minimum requirements will be denied. The English proficiency requirement may be waived if the applicant meets one of the following conditions:
