On November 16th, 2017 the Patel College of Global Sustainability hosted its first Alumni Network Event at the Gibbons Alumni Center at USF. The evening began with networking opportunities and appetizers. Alumni, faculty, and current students shared experiences, gave advice, and built their networks. Our alumni were excited to have an opportunity to meet Dean Parayil for the first time and learn about his vision for the college.

PCGS was very honored to host Dr. Kiran Patel, who gave an inspiring speech about his vision for our future and the importance of making a positive impact on the world. Dr. Kiran Patel and his wife, Dr. Pallavi Patel, provided the initial financial support for the Patel College of Global Sustainability, and have remained engaged with the college over the past 8 years. Many of our alumni were very pleased to have the opportunity to share their success stories with the Patels.

At the dinner, Dean Parayil honored our past PCGS alumni ambassadors and our Fall 2017 graduating class. Ms. Kelly Gaskell, Assistant Director of PCGS, shared with our guests some alumni highlights and recognized our most accomplished alumni, many of whom were in attendance. While discussing the newly formed PCGS Alumni Network, Ms. Gaskell informed guests of the network's events and plans for the upcoming year. If you are interested in joining the PCGS Alumni Network, the first meeting will be on December 7 at 4:30 PM at the USF Alumni Center.
