PCGS was pleased to have Rebecca Hopper, Sustainability Coordinator, from Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful speak at our Sustainability Speaker Series earlier this month. Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful is an important non-profit organization that seeks to involve the Tampa Bay community in the practice of environmental stewardship through volunteer and educational opportunities. Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. Keep America Beautiful helps communities beautify their surrounding environment and educates the general public about more ways to be environmentally friendly.

Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful attributes its success to its dedicated volunteers of Keep America Beautiful and Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful. Through the hard work of the volunteers, over 460,000 pounds of trash was collected, planted over 3,000 plants and hosted over 900 community improvement events. Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful organizes numerous events and programs such as Adopt-A-Road, Trees for Tampa Bay, Borrow-a-bin, Florida Learning Garden and Hillsborough Trash Free Waters to promote the quality of public spaces. Last year, Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful hosted over 900 cleanup and beautification events, 860 education presentations and outreach events, and over 600 Adopt-A-Road projects.
