Center for Drug Discovery and Innovation
Under New Management
Dear USF Faculty and Staff:
On July 1, 2017, USF's Center for Drug Discovery and Innovation (CDDI) transitioned to a new leadership team. We are pleased to announce that Dr. Randy Larsen, Associate Dean for the Office of Research and Scholarship in the College of Arts & Sciences, and Dr. Stephen Liggett, Vice Dean for Research at the Morsani College of Medicine and USF Health's Associate Vice President for Research, have agreed to serve as co-directors of this vital USF System resource.
During this transition, CDDI will continue to focus on its mission as a Florida Center of Excellence that serves the USF System research community in the development of new pharmaceuticals. CDDI will continue to assist research groups working to advance drug discovery and make available access to specialized research laboratories. Since its inception, CDDI has been representative of the transdisciplinary culture of discovery and innovation that is central to the USF System's collaborative spirit and key to its strategic goals.
In the coming months, Dr. Larsen and Dr. Liggett will undertake a reevaluation of the CDDI's organization and services with an eye toward creating a strong and sustainable infrastructure for drug discovery, with additional components for understanding fundamental processes at the cell and organ levels that represent the underpinnings of rational drug design. Should you have any questions and/or comments, please feel free to reach out to Dr. Larsen at email@example.com or Dr. Liggett at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you should have any questions regarding billing/invoicing, please contact Mr. Kevin Williams at email@example.com. For questions regarding the use of the second floor conference room, please contact Ms. Jamila Cowans at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your patience as we work through this transition.
