NEDAW 2017

NEDAwareness Week activities and events bring people together in creative, engaging ways to raise awareness about the seriousness of eating disorders and the many resources available to those affected. Check out the list of events happening around the University of South Florida from February 27th through March 3rd.

Do you have jeans that no longer fit? Drop them off at one of our donation boxes around campus . All donations will be made to Metropolitan Ministries. The initiative is sponsored by Delta Delta Delta Sorority.

February 27th NEDAW Kick Off!!!

Love Your Genes Display
Whether you are heading to class or grabbing a bite to eat at the MSC, you definitely don't want to miss the Love Your Genes Display at the Marshall Student Center. Celebrate your genes and join others in spreading awareness about eating disorders during National Eating Disorder Awareness Week.
Time: All Day

Eating Disorder Awareness Fair
This is the time to share what you love about your body. You are more beautiful than you know. Show your support for National Eating Disorder Awareness Week by attending the fair and participating in a variety of activities lead by students groups and campus department. Receive tips and more at the Eating Disorder Awareness Fair.
Time: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Mindfulness Meditation
Drop-in the Counseling Center to experience Mindfulness Meditation. You can gain knowledge and learn effective techniques that will help you to relax your mind and body. Join us!
Time: 4 - 5 p.m.

February 28th

Learning to Let Go of Body Image Concerns
Do you have a case of the worries? Drop-in on Tuesday during NEDAW and learn to let the stress and worries go. We understand the pressures of school, work, friends and family can be tough. Receive tips and more on how to handle these worries at Learning to Let Go.
Time: 4 - 5 p.m.

March 1st

Produce of the Month
Get ready to satisfy your taste buds and increase your consumption of healthy and in-season fruit and vegetables.
Time: 10 am -12 pm

Mindfulness Meditation
Drop-in the Counseling Center to experience Mindfulness Meditation.  You can gain knowledge and effective techniques that will help you relax your mind and body. Join us!
Time: 5-6 pm

March 2nd 

The Power of Being Positive
Being positive is guaranteed to empower you to live well.  Come learn positive psychology strategies so you can learn how to use your strengths, celebrate positive events, demonstrate gratitude, determine accomplishments, and develop body positive habits. 
Time: 4 - 5 p.m.
Location: SVC 2124

Positivity Mirrors
Join the Center for Student Well-Being & Housing and Residential Education for a night of body positivity as we craft and chat! Each participant will leave with their own Positivity Mirror craft project.
Time: 7 - 8:30 pm
