Mentors

USF is home to one of the largest student veteran populations in the state, serving over 1,200 veterans. These veterans often find it extremely difficult to start a new chapter in their life. The Tampa Bay community has a unique opportunity to bridge the gap for these young men and women who have sacrificed so much for our nation.

Our Veterans Mentoring Program is informal in nature. Mentors can determine what level of mentorship they are able to provide with the overall goal of providing guidance to help student veterans develop both personally and professionally. The ideal mentor will be someone who is familiar with the challenges veterans face as they transition from the military, through college, and into the workforce.

Demonstrate your commitment to the success of our returning veterans by setting the example in the business community and becoming a mentor. This will allow you the opportunity to make a significant difference in the life of a veteran by helping them overcome challenges and achieve their dreams. You're not just helping veterans, you're personally investing in professional individuals who possess the skills that college cannot teach: discipline, loyalty, and dedication. They've served us; it's time to step up and provide your services to them.
