USF System President Judy Genshaft and Hillsborough County Public Schools Superintendent Jeff Eakins serve together on the Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay Board of Directors.
The Tampa Bay Educational Partnership (TBEP) serves as the liaison between University of South Florida (USF) Tampa Campus colleges and the Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) to facilitate collaborative research projects and grants.
Working with the USF Provost Office and the HCPS executive leadership, TBEP's main responsibility is to assist both institutions in working together to leverage expertise to support interdisciplinary research and funding opportunities to achieve our respective goals in impacting student success.
Ideally, you should submit this request as soon as you begin to consider applying for a grant that will involve USF and HCPS. This will allow both institutions to identify the most appropriate collaborators for the project and to identify any issues that may need to be addressed prior to submission.
We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions and answers to help you in preparing your Request to Partner. In addition, this section contains examples of projects that have been approved by the Hillsborough County School District. Not all of the projects have received external funding but they represent the breadth of proposals that HCPS has approved for implementation in the district.
