USF cybersecurity student advocates for expanding women’s representation in field
Mackenzie Freel says the Bellini College gave her the confidence to leader in the cybersecurity major. Now, she’s determined to help other women find that same sense of belonging in cybersecurity. “That’s what keeps me motivated — knowing that every woman who joins this field makes it stronger,” she said.

Herd of Thunder

USF receives $2.3M for cybersecurity college
USF announced that it has received $2.3 million in private donations for its newest college, the Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing. The announcement came during the university’s inaugural CyberBay conference — a three-day event that aims to bring together leaders in the technology, academic, government and military sectors for conversations on cybersecurity, national security and artificial intelligence.
