Office of Communication and Community Engagement
Our Mission
The Office of Communication and Community Engagement was created to build robust and
reliable processes for developing and executing integrated communication and development
plans. College staff from Communications and Marketing, Events, and Technology have
been integrated under this office to implement an integrated strategy for these service
areas to work collaboratively with departments and institutes. Our goal is to better
publicize the excellent work of our faculty, students, and alumni so that a wide range
of internal and external stakeholders can better understand and appreciate the college's
extraordinary achievements. The larger goal of this office is to create an integrated
communication and community engagement plan for the college and each department/school
and institute that includes at a minimum: consistent messaging across platforms and
social media, including websites; a strategic calendar of events that features and
reinforces this messaging.
