Dr. McKenzie started her professional career by serving seven years on active duty in the U.S. Air Force, where she worked as a linguist and a strategic planning facilitator. Dr. McKenzie has an M.A. in English - Rhetoric and Composition, and has taught academic writing at the high school, developmental, undergraduate, and graduate level. She also teaches Intro to Research and Rhetorical Theory classes as an adjunct assistant professor for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide. She holds an Ed.D. in educational leadership and is a qualitative researcher.
