Dr. Darcie Fontaine was recently featured in a French documentary film about the history of Christianity in Algeria during the Algerian War of Independence, the subject of her first book Decolonizing Christianity: Religion and the End of Empire in France and Algeria (Cambridge, 2016).

The film, Les veilleurs de l’évangile (The Watchers of the Gospel), was broadcast on the French public television station France2 on July 3, 2022 on the 60th anniversary of Algerian independence. She was also quoted on this same subject in an article on the history of Catholicism in Algeria for the French Catholic newspaper La Vie.
