Janet K. Keeler

Professor Janet Keeler worked in daily newspaper journalism for 35 years prior to joining the USFSP faculty. She spent 22 years at the Tampa Bay Times, serving as the paper’s food and travel editor for much of her tenure. She was the creative force behind USFSP’s Food Writing and Photography Program, which offers a graduate certificate. Keeler also spearheaded the University’s Food and Travel Writing study-abroad program, which gives students the opportunity to visit and study in France and Germany.
Keeler’s expertise include food, travel and newspaper journalism. She is the author of Cookielicious: 150 Fabulous Recipes to Bake & Share and has appeared in Best Food Writing 2001, an anthology of work by American writers. Keeler is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Program Development.
