Gabriel “Gabo” Harris is a proud Ecuadorian-American from South Florida whose pronouns are he/his. Gabo is currently a student in the Politics and International Affairs PhD program at the University of South Florida. After receiving his bachelor's from Florida State University in Political Science and International Affairs, he worked in state politics at the Tallahassee Capitol for several years. Gabo also spent some time climbing and exploring National Parks in both the U.S. and Ecuador.
Gabo’s research centers around international relations, comparative politics, and cultural anthropology. He is interested in political bargaining and conflict, natural resource management, environmental politics, processes of decolonization, political economies, and indigenous socio-political institutions.
Academics aside, Gabo is an avid outdoorsperson, musician, reader, and foodie.
