Dr. Stefan Huber, a German native, studied Latin, German, and linguistics at the University of Lund, Sweden. In 2002, he received his PhD in formal linguistics, with a dissertation about it-cleft constructions in English, German, and Swedish. In 2005, he joined USF’s World Language Department, where he became an Assistant Professor for German in 2007 and a full-time German instructor in 2010.
Dr. Huber has taught German on all levels, as well as introductory Swedish and general linguistics.
In 2010, he initiated an annual linguistic conference in Florida (originally called TAW, Tampa Workshop in Linguistics; today FLYM, Florida Linguistics Yearly Meeting) and hosted it from 2010-2013.
Currently Dr. Huber focuses on teaching introductory and intermediate German courses and online course development.
