Mako Nozu

Sensei Mako Nozu is a Japanese women with brown eyes and straight, bobbed black hair that reaches her neckline. She is smiling at the camara. Nozu-sensei has been teaching Japanese at USF since 2004 and became a Master Instructor in 2019. She has taught all the levels of Japanese language courses as well as Japanese Calligraphy. She really enjoys teaching beginning Japanese language courses and incorporates the Task-based Language Teaching into her lessons. Additionally, she has been leading a summer program in Japan since 2014. She also serves as the advisor for Japanese Culture Club and Japanese Language Club. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and walking downtown St. Petersburg where she lives with her Chihuahua, Nacho Libre.
