Internships and Scholarships



USF graduate students who are pursuing an MA in Latin American studies are eligible to apply for the Thaddeus Broward Ryan scholarship for the academic year of 2020-21. The award will be up to $1000 ($500 per semester). To be considered for this scholarship, a student must be enrolled and in good standing in the MALACS program with at least a 3.5 GPA. Applicants must submit a 500-word essay illustrating why they are passionate about Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and why they are pursuing the degree, as well as one letter of recommendation from a professor who is familiar with their academic performance. The scholarship will be awarded based on merit as well as financial need.

There are no fees to volunteer or intern with them and they will assist you in finding housing, Spanish classes and travel resources for Macchu Picchu and other famous sites within 50 miles.
