Professor of Music Sang-Hie Lee featured in New Releases from Navona and Ravello Records by PARMA Recordings LLC
Congratulations to Professor Sang-Hie Lee on the release of the new album, GLOBE, TRAVEL, HOMELAND.
Dr. Lee collaborated with pianist Martha Thomas (Despy Callas Professor Emerita of Piano, Hugh Hodson School of Music at the University of Georgia) and percussionists Kevin von Kampen, (University of South Florida School of Music faculty), and Zach Hale (University of South Florida School of Music alumnus), on the full-length album of piano duo music by contemporary composers, Eun Hye Park, Daniel Perlongo, Michael Sidney Timpson, Chan Hae Lee, and Robert Paterson.
The release notes, “With its vast tonal range and its ability to simultaneously supply chords and melodies, the piano is a true musical powerhouse. So what happens if you compose and play music for two of these behemoths? Pianists Sang- Hie Lee and Martha Thomas answer this question on their aptly-titled new album GLOBE, TRAVEL, HOMELAND.”
