Pietro A. Bianchi
Pietro A. Bianchi is an assistant professor in the Muma College of Business's Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy. He previously worked as an assistant professor of accounting in the University of Miami's School of Business Administration, where he taught intermediate accounting. Before that, he taught financial accounting and analysis and cost accounting at the IE University and Business School in Spain and Bocconi University in Italy.
His research interests include auditing, international accounting, corporate governance, social network analysis and private firms. His research has been published in Contemporary Accounting Research and the Journal of American Taxation Association. He is the recipient of the business school's Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award and the Provost's Research Award in Business and Social Sciences, both from the University of Miami.
Bianchi received a PhD in accounting from IE University and Business School and a bachelor's degree and a master's degree law from Bocconi University.
