Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Community Engagement, Peter leads administrative support, communications, strategic planning, research, and assessment efforts for Community Engagement & Career Readiness at the University of South Florida. CECR units include the Office of Employer Relations, the Office of Professional & Career Development, the Office of Community Engagement & Partnerships, the Office of Internships & Career Readiness, the Center for Victim Advocacy & Violence Prevention, and the Florida College Access Network. In this role, he also has responsibilities for managing the units' communications with students, employers, and affiliated stakeholders within the University of South Florida community. This includes developing, implementing, and evaluating marketing and social media plans.

Peter brings over 20 years of experience, in a variety of technology and communications leadership roles from both higher education and private industry to the team. Most recently, Peter served as the head of Strategic Communications for Miami University Libraries in Oxford, Ohio. Prior to that appointment, he was an Associate Director of Marketing and Technology Services for Housing and Residence Life at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and served in multiple positions at Georgia State University, Turner Broadcasting, Johnson Controls, and the University of Tennessee.

Peter holds an MBA from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in economics / public administration at the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Additionally, with the exception of his dissertation, Peter has completed all of the degree requirements for a PhD in instructional technology at the College of Education at Georgia State University.
