Virtual Employer Showcases

Introducing Virtual Employer Showcases

The University of South Florida is pleased to introduce our new Virtual Employer Showcases as part of our new Sponsorship Program Packages.

The Virtual Employer Showcase is a virtual event designed to help you build your brand on-campus. Each Virtual Employer Showcase event highlights a single organization and is open to all currently enrolled USF students, alumni, and faculty. We recommend that each event have 30 – 45 minutes of prepared content and 30 – 45 minutes for open question-and-answer time.

Benefits of Participation for Organizations

In order to participate in this exclusive offering, you must purchase a Platinum, Gold, or Silver Sponsorship Program Package.

Information about participating organizations will be shared in advance with students to support their pre-event research activities. Organizations that host a Virtual Employer Showcase event should be prepared to provide USF Career Services with official logos, a brief description of the organization, and information on the positions they are actively recruiting for at the event.

We encourage you to utilize whatever virtual meeting platform you feel most comfortable with, such as Zoom, GoToMeeting, WebEx, etc. Additionally, USF can provide access to our Microsoft Teams platform.

Student Preparation & Participation Outcomes

Organizations are encouraged to use the Employer Showcase as a way to introduce themselves to the University of South Florida community. This might include providing information to frequently asked questions, such as:

  • who is your organization and what do you do
  • who are your customers
  • what is it like to work at your organization
  • what types of positions or internships are available
  • what do you look for in an applicant
  • what kinds of diversity programs do you offer
  • how do you engage with the community (e.g. social responsibility program)

Employer Showcases are promoted to our students and alumni through Handshake and our social media channels.

Additionally, students will be encouraged to attend the Virtual Employer Showcases as part of their participation in a targeted career fair preparation workshop series. During the workshop series, students will be provided with information about participating organizations, encouraging deeper engagement when you meet them on the day of the Virtual Employer Showcase.
