Considering Graduate School

What is Graduate School?

Graduate or Professional School is an advanced program of study focused on specific academic discipline or profession. It requires original research and/or scholarship, develops intellectual relationships, and requires intense commitment, passion and drive.

The Admissions Process

The admissions process for applying to graduate school is similar to applying to undergraduate programs. There are several steps. For additional help and information on graduate school admissions, visit the Office of Graduate Studies here at USF.

Selecting a Program

After you have been admitted to your choice of programs, you will still need to make your final decision on which program to enroll in. There many factors to consider, including family, finances, program specifications, employment rates after graduation, etc. Think about all of the factors that affect your decision and take them into account for your final choice.
