Meet a career coach during a virtual, online appointment for a resume or cover letter review; tips on networking and interviewing; career exploration; developing a strategy for your internship, job, or grad school search; and more.
Career Workshops
Our workshops are designed to help all USF students build the career readiness skills needed to succeed now and in the future! Our workshops provide you with help to build a resume, write a cover letter, update your LinkedIn profile, choose a career path, prepare for interviews, and conduct your internship or job search. Details and registration are in Handshake. Virtual workshops delivered via Microsoft Teams.
Career Fairs and Events
Each semester Career Services provides a number of programs to help you explore different occupations and learn about the career options available to you. These fairs and events help you connect with employers and search for part-time, internship, Co-op, and full-time positions.
Suit-A-Bull
Suit-A-Bull is a free professional clothing rental service for USF students. Suit-A-Bull offers suits, jackets, pants, shirts, skirts, and dresses. Students can visit Suit-A-Bull to borrow attire for job and internship interviews, career fairs and career events, or other employment related occasions where professional clothing is required.
Online Service - Handshake
Handshake is your go-to website for jobs, internships, career fairs, and career event information! It is available to students 24-hours a day, 7-days a week and your account is created automatically … just login using MyUSF. Note that nightly updates to student records (including GPA and major data) may result in temporary access limitations while the updates are being processed.
Online Service - Big Interview
When preparing for a job interview, it’s not enough to just read advice — you need to put that advice into practice! For interview preparation and practice, we recommend that you use the virtual tool Big Interview, which you have free access to as a USF student. Big Interview provides an AI-powered assessment of your mock interview sessions, which can be tailored to your specific industry, job interests, and experience level.
Online Service - Candid Career
This online service is like your own personal YouTube channel for career advice, interviews with professionals about their jobs and career paths, and short clips about what it's like to work in different industries!
Online Service - Careershift
CareerShift helps job seekers successfully navigate the published and hidden job market to find career opportunities. CareerShift offers an online set of integrated applications, including a robust company and contact database, where users can find current job connections and make meaningful new connections. This tool is a great place to begin or deepen your professional network with organizations you are interested in working for.
Online Service - GoinGlobal
GoinGlobal is an online website that gives students and faculty access to career resources and travel guides in more than 40 countries and 53 cities in the U.S. and Canada. GoinGlobal career and employment resources include job search sources, work permit/visa regulations, resume writing guidelines, employment trends, salary ranges, networking groups, and interviewing advice. And each country profile contains cultural advice and guidelines.
