Spring 2021 Commencement Portraits
Ahead of Spring 2021 Commencement, students on each campus will have the chance to take their formal commencement portrait in front of the official USF backdrop, as well as locations that are meaningful to that specific campus. For example, students at the Tampa campus will have their photo taken in front of the signature bull statue outside the Marshall Student Center, students at the St. Petersburg campus will capture their memory along the waterfront and Sarasota-Manatee campus students will show off the campus’ iconic architectural features.
The event will take place on the following dates and times:
- St. Petersburg campus: Monday, April 5 and Wednesday, April 7, 10am-6pm
- Tampa campus: Thursday, April 8 through Saturday, April 10, 9am–6pm
- Sarasota-Manatee campus: Friday, April 23, 12pm–7pm
Registration for the Tampa campus and St. Petersburg campus has now closed. Students
who missed the registration deadline but want to still have their photo taken have
the possibility of being included in the photo event. You are welcome to arrive at
the time you would like to have your photo taken. If our capacity and demand permits
us to accept you as a day-of registration then we will gladly do so. Please note that
we cannot guarantee that by you arriving that we will be able to accommodate you,
even if the timeslot is not full. Check-in will take place on the first floor of the
Marshall Student Center for the Tampa campus and the second floor of the University
Student Center for the St. Petersburg campus. This policy also applies to students
seeking to change their registered timeslot. Students on the Sarasota-Manatee campus
can register for their photos by Thursday, April 22 at 11:59pm.
As is done routinely with a traditional ceremony, these photos are only for students—family members or friends are not included in the official commencement portraits. Face coverings will be required at all times, even while outside, except when it is your turn to have your photo taken. All photos will be taken by GradImages photographers during the event. Samples of the photos and pricing will be emailed directly to you shortly after the event has taken place and you may purchase them if you wish.
As this is your chance to take your formal commencement photo, academic regalia is strongly recommended, but we understand the hardship that our community continues to face, so we have made the decision to allow students to wear business casual or other appropriate attire for this event. For example, a dress shirt and tie with slacks, dress or pant suit. For those students who wish to wear regalia for this event, please contact the USF Bookstore for your campus for specific instructions on how to place your order and acquire your regalia.
For both our Spring Commencement and the photo op, students will need to complete their Daily Symptom Check and provide proof of its completion and their advance registration when they check-in.
