Theodore R. and Vivian M. Johnson Scholarship Application Form

Theodore and Vivian Johnson and the Johnson Scholarship Foundation Board recognized early that postsecondary students with disabilities had challenges above and beyond those of other college students.  This has led to a more than 25-year partnership with the State University System (SUS) of Florida, first with the Florida Board of Regents Foundation and then with the Florida Board of Governors Foundation as university governance transitioned into its current standing.

The program first began in the early 1990s, with approximately 100 students receiving a scholarship.  The number of scholarships awarded to students has steadily grown over the years.  During the 2019-2020 academic year, SUS institutions awarded 611 Theodore R. and Vivian M. Johnson Scholarships to students with disabilities.
