(Tampa, Fla. June 24, 2016) — Nominations are now open for the USF College of Education's Distinguished Alumni Awards Program for the 2016-17 school year. USF faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends are welcome to nominate graduates of the USF College of Education for these prestigious awards, and the nomination process will remain open until Aug. 15.

Each year, the USF College of Education is proud to present our Alumni Spirit of Partnership and the Dean's Lifetime Achievement Alumni Awards in conjunction with the USF Homecoming events, which are taking place Oct. 3-8.

The recipient of the Alumni Spirit of Partnership Award is an individual who has gone "above and beyond" in their service to the College of Education, and we express our deep appreciation for those who have created and sustained partnerships within the community and the college to achieve the mission of the College of Education.

The recipient of the Dean's Lifetime Achievement Alumni Award is recognized as a community member who has demonstrated long-term contributions, achievement and service within education or a related profession — on a local, state, regional, national and/or global level.

A committee that includes faculty, staff, and alumni of the College of Education will select the recipients. Nominees will be notified in early fall of their selection as award recipients. Nominations will be open until August 15.
