Volunteering with Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay

Students in the College of Education can earn classroom experience by volunteering with Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay as part of a "JA in a Day" event hosted each semester in local elementary schools.

As part of the program, USF students volunteer for a half-day to teach third through fifth-grade students lessons that align with Junior Achievement's curriculum of financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship programs. Student who volunteer with the program gain experience in an elementary school classroom and deliver pre-coordinated lesson plans to students. All volunteers attend an on-campus training session prior to arriving at their school site.
