Judy Genshaft Honors College Advising
The mission of the Judy Genshaft Honors College advising team is to empower students to acquire, create and contribute knowledge by promoting diverse learning experiences, active goal setting and reflection, and involvement in the university and global community. Academic advising is a vital component of the Judy Genshaft Honors College experience. We partner with departmental advisors to ensure the highest level of degree completion.

Our advising staff is here for our students! We want to help our students define and achieve their goals so they can make the most out of their time at USF.

Although not required, we strongly encourage students to make an appointment with their honors advisor each semester so they get to know you and help you achieve your goals, both academic and personal.

First-year students must see their assigned honors advisor:

  • During their first semester (typically in the Fall), prior to registering for Spring classes
  • During their second semester (typically in the Spring), prior to registering for Summer and Fall classes

Please note: Advising through the Judy Genshaft Honors College does not replace advising through academic departments. Students must also visit their major advisor as well.

You can make an appointment to see your Judy Genshaft Honors Advisor over the phone at (813) 974-3087. You may also make an appointment online via E-Scheduler or in-person with an Honors Ambassador at the front desk.

Walk-in advising is available every weekday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for quick questions or help. Walk-In advisors will not remove AA holds, create 4-year academic plans, or complete graduation checks. Please make an appointment for those needs.
