Honors Admission

In accordance with our mission and values, the Honors College admissions process recognizes excellence as achieved in a range of fields and forums – from academic accomplishment to community leadership, from creative performance to global engagement.

The Honors College actively recruits students who have demonstrated academic excellence through high test scores and high school GPA. Students admitted to USF who have 30 ACT or 1370 SAT and at least a 4.0 will be automatically accepted into the Honors College. Honors College acceptance emails and letters are sent a few weeks after USF acceptance materials, or after we receive eligible scores. This process begins in October and ends May 1st.

We also know that excellence takes a variety of forms and test scores don't always tell the whole story. Therefore we encourage applications from any student who wants to be considered on the basis of his/her achievements. The Honors College Application includes an essay and resume. Applications are reviewed by a team of current Honors College students, faculty, and staff.

The Honors College Application opens in August, and we have three deadlines.

Priority Application Deadline: December 1, decisions sent out by January 1
Second Application Deadline: March 1, decisions sent out by April 1
Late Application Deadline: April 1, decisions sent out by May 1
