Early Acceptance Programs (EAP) with LECOM
4+4 B.S./DO
The Judy Genshaft Honors College, in affiliation with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), offers eligible honors students an Early Acceptance Admission Program (EAP) to the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
The Honors/LECOM EAP/DO will allow qualified students who are graduating from the Judy Genshaft Honors College guaranteed acceptance into the DO program at LECOM. The program aims to provide highly-qualified students interested in obtaining a medical education with a sound baccalaureate foundation for pursuing professional education through a special undergraduate curriculum and mentoring linked with a sound medical education.
By participating in EAP, honors students who meet admission criteria will be interviewed and may receive guaranteed placement in a future class.
Initial Eligibility Criteria
- At least a 3.8 weighted grade point average
- 1360-1390 on the SAT (scores from the pre-March 2016 test will be concorded to the new SAT scale for consideration), or 29 on the ACT.
EAP Benchmarks:
- BS degree [Phase I] from USF earned prior to the start of DO [Phase II] coursework
- 3.4 overall GPA
- 3.3 science GPA
- Minimum MCAT score at 50% or above (however, the MCAT may be waived)
- Observational and Community Service Hours: 20 hours each
4+4 B.S./DMD
The Judy Genshaft Honors College, in affiliation with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School of Dental Medicine, offers eligible honors students an Early Acceptance Admission Program (EAP) to the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD).
The Honors/LECOM EAP/DMD will allow qualified honors students who are graduating from the Judy Genshaft Honors College guaranteed acceptance into the DMD program at LECOM. The program aims to provide highly-qualified students interested in obtaining a medical education with a sound baccalaureate foundation for pursuing professional education through a special undergraduate curriculum and mentoring linked with a sound dental medicine education.
By participating in EAP, honors students who meet admission criteria will be interviewed and may receive guaranteed placement in a future class.

- Scores in the area of 20 or higher will be expected for the Academic Average, Reading Comprehension and Perceptual Ability sections.
- Observational and Community Service Hours: ~100 observation hours recommended, 20+ community service.
