EARLY ACCEPTANCE PROGRAMS WITH LAKE ERIE COLLEGE OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE

LECOM 4+4 B.S./DO

The Judy Genshaft Honors College, in affiliation with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), offers eligible students an Early Acceptance Admission Program (EAP) to the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).

The LECOM EAP/DO will allow qualified students guaranteed acceptance into the DO program at LECOM. The program aims to provide highly-qualified students interested in obtaining a medical education with a sound baccalaureate foundation for pursuing professional education through a special undergraduate curriculum and mentoring linked with a sound medical education.

By participating in the EAP, students who meet admission criteria will be interviewed and may receive guaranteed placement in a future class.

REQUIREMENTS

Initial Eligibility Criteria

  • At least a 3.5 weighted grade point average
  • 1240 on the SAT or 26 on the ACT (not superscored)

EAP Benchmarks:

  • BS degree [Phase I] from USF earned prior to the start of DO [Phase II] coursework
  • 3.4 overall GPA
  • 3.3 science GPA
  • Minimum MCAT score at 500 or above (however, the MCAT may be waived)

LECOM 4+4 B.S./DMD 

The Judy Genshaft Honors College, in affiliation with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School of Dental Medicine, offers eligible students an Early Acceptance Admission Program (EAP) to the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD).

The LECOM EAP/DMD will allow qualified students guaranteed acceptance into the DMD program at LECOM. The program aims to provide highly-qualified students interested in obtaining a medical education with a sound baccalaureate foundation for pursuing professional education through a special undergraduate curriculum and mentoring linked with a sound dental medicine education.

By participating in EAP, students who meet admission criteria will be interviewed and may receive guaranteed placement in a future class.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1240 on the SAT or 26 on the ACT (not superscored)

EAP Benchmarks

  • BS degree [Phase I] from USF earned prior to the start of DMD [Phase II] coursework
  • 3.4 overall GPA
  • 3.2 science GPA
  • DAT scores in the area of 20 or higher will be expected for the Academic Average, Reading Comprehension and Perceptual Ability sections.
