We offer trainings for the following systems:
The Global Employment System or GEMS is the Human Resources system for managing personnel and payroll activities at USF. GEMS is the primary source of information on positions, appointments, payroll registers and budget summaries. Access to GEMS is limited to university personnel. You can log into GEMS via the MyUSF Portal. HR Organizational Development offers instructor-led and on-line training for GEMS. There are many classes available of specific interest to HR departmental contacts including appointments, leave, recruiting, payroll, and self-service.
FAST is the financial administration management system for financial transactions at the University of South Florida. All financial transactions are recorded in this system and includes but is not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Asset Management, Billing, Pcards, Purchasing, Grant Management, Cash Management, Contracts, Commitment Control and Travel. The USF Procurement Card (PCard) is a University of South Florida VISA credit card. The USF System PCard Program permits USF System management to authorize the issuance of PCards to USF System employees. PCards are allowed for purchases of small dollar commodities and services and travel for official USF system business. The PCard Program allows for business purchases to be conducted in a more efficient and cost-effective process across the Procure to Pay system.

Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M) maintains a system-wide inventory of university space using a web-based management system which is part of the University's "Integrated Facilities Information System" (IFIS). The IFIS system contains all information related to spaces, buildings, and grounds for the University. The F&A Cost Study, also known as Indirect Costs, is a mechanism by the University is compensated by the Federal Government for providing support and infrastructure services to sponsored research projects. Trainings include the IFIS Space Survey for F&A Cost Study - Beginners Course & IFIS Space Survey for F&A Cost Study - Refresher Course.
OASIS is the primary business system at USF, used by students, faculty and staff. A variety of critical functions are performed in OASIS such as student admissions, class registration, financial aid processing, and transcript maintenance. The following workshops cover subjects relating to the support of the On-line Access Student Information System here at USF and are in the suggested order.

PERT is the University's federal effort and committed cost share reporting system. Compliance with federally established Office of Management and Budget, OMB Circular A-21, Cost Principles for Educational Institutions requires educational institutions to maintain an accurate system for reporting the percentage of time that employees devote to federally funded projects (Effort). A PERT Department Representative Workshop is available.
DegreeWorks is a web-based degree audit and tracking system helping students and academic advisors monitor progress toward degree completion. It provides academic information related to degree progress, displaying courses required and completed in your degree program. A DegreeWorks Navigational and Exceptions Training (DWORKS) is available.
