Review a Course for Quality

Quality Standards

The Florida Online Course Design Quality Review Process was designed to increase the number of quality online courses in Florida. This standard-based process results in a Quality designation that relies on the Quality Matters (QM) Higher Ed. Rubric.

In the Spring of 2018, USF adopted QM’s Higher Ed (Sixth Edition) Rubric, which includes eight general standards and 42 specific review standards that describe best practices in online course design. The rubric, which focuses on the design of the course, is supported by a thorough review of the literature and is updated every three years to reflect new techniques and technologies that have become available.

While the Florida Online Course Design Quality Review Process can result in a Quality or High-Quality designation, USF is focused on meeting high-quality standards for ALL online courses.
