IT Governance

Information Technology Management Council

The USF Information Technology Management Council is the highest level governance group for recommendations on and articulation of policy, priority, and resource allocation for technology and is a system-wide Council. It is the conduit through which all other technology committees and work groups should bring issues for resolution.

USF Policy 0-518 outlines the University Technology Standard Board (UTSB) as the body which provides standards and establishes and maintains procurement process recommendations. The CIO Council members are an integral part of the UTSB ensuring all standards are discussed and implemented equally across the USF Campuses with representatives from each regional campus: Tampa, Sarasota-Manatee, St. Petersburg, and USF Health.

Student Technology Advisory Council

The USF System Student Technology Advisory Council (STAC) serves as a system‐wide forum for the discussion of all technology‐related issues of interest to the students of the University of South Florida. The Council will serve as advisory council and make recommendations as to requirements and priorities to the System Vice President for Information Technology on technology‐related items across the USF System.
