"I am an interdisciplinary scholar trained in social science and public policy. I draw on theories and concepts from the social sciences to investigate the environmental sustainability and social equity of policy outcomes.
I earned a PhD in Urban Planning and Public Policy in the School of Social Ecology at the University of California, Irvine where I also earned an MA in Demographic and Social Analysis in the School of Social Sciences. My training in the social sciences began at a small liberal arts university, Southwest Minnesota State University, where I earned a BA in Sociology and Spanish Language & Culture. With this suite of formal training, I work to leverage the social sciences to improve public policy development, implementation, and outcomes."
