SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
SDG 1: No Poverty

The first Sustainable Development Goal aims to end poverty in all its forms everywhere by 2030. In addition to governments and the private sector, the academic and education community have a major role in increasing the awareness about the impact of poverty. In particular, science provides the foundation for new and sustainable approaches to reducing poverty, including improvements in access to safe drinking water and sanitation.
