SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
SDG 13: Climate Action
The thirteenth Sustainable Development Goal, in partnership with the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement, aims to take urgent action to tackle climate change and its impacts. In particular, SDG 13 encourages the transformation of the world’s energy, industry, transport, food, agriculture and forestry systems to ensure that we can limit global temperature rise to well below 2°C. As the UN says, doing nothing will end up costing us a lot more than if we take action now. Faculty and students at PCGS are not simply talking about climate change but are actively devising solutions for our food waste and energy use problems and are participating in projects to limit the impacts of climate change in the Tampa Bay Area.
