SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
The ninth Sustainable Development Goal aims to build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation. The UN recognizes that economic growth, social development and climate action are heavily dependent on investments in infrastructure, sustainable industrial development and technological progress. In developing areas, the sustainable growth of new industries means improvement in the standard of living, including clean water and sanitation and the ability to access education and the Internet.
