Tampa Mayor Jane Castor Proclaims April to be Earth Month at the Request of USF Patel College of Global Sustainability Students
“Every day is Earth Day.” PCGS graduate students have been working to institute an Earth Month Advocacy Global Initiative Center (EMAGIC) on campus to promote that sustainable mindset. As April has been declared Earth Month by Tampa’s mayor Jane Castor, success is on the horizon.

International Collaboration in Algae Research with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece
The Patel College of Global Sustainability (PCGS) has teamed up with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) in Greece to advance the commercial development of algae, a potentially sustainable source of transportation fuels and consumer products.
PCGS Sustainable Business Concentration Director, Dr. Pradeep Haldar Receives the Excellence in Civic & Community Engagement Award from the USF Office of Community Engagement.
PCGS Sustainable Business Concentration Director, Dr. Pradeep Haldar received the Excellence in Civic & Community Engagement Award as a recognition of PCGS’ partnership with the Tampa International Airport. Last semester, PCGS students in his class collaborated with TPA to review and revamp their environmental, social governance reporting efforts.
