What's New

We've made changes.  Lots of changes -- all for your health and safety.  Over time, we suspect you'll become accustom to our new hours, the reservation system, and many other new ways of finding your fit.  But one things we've all learned in this pandemic is that change is our only constant. 

We expect more changes throughout the semester.  This section will highlights the key bits of information we think you should know each week.

october 5

We are excited to welcome you back.  The REC, FIT, and our pools have reopened (effective Monday, October 5).  Reservations are required.  Masks must be worn at all time when indoors, this includes during your workout.

september 28

Update:  Our indoor facilities and pools on the Tampa campus will reopen on Monday, October 5.

Our indoor facilities remain teporarily closed.  Riverfront Park is open daily from 12:00 - 5:00 PM.  Our outdoor fields and the World Trail are available for use.

september 21

All indoor facilities on the Tampa Campus remain temporarily closed.  Riverfront Park is open daily from 12:00 - 5:00 PM.  Our outdoor fields and the World Trail are also available for use.

All virtual programs and events will continue without interruption.

september 14

We recently learned of potential COVID-19 exposure at a USF Recreation & Wellness facility. All of our indoor facilities are closed effective Sunday, Sept 13 until further notice to allow for cleaning and any necessary contact tracing. Remaining open are Riverfront Park, World Trail, and our outdoor fields. Our virtual programs will continue uninterrupted.

Masks

We now require masks to be worn at all times while in any of our buildings, parks, and outdoor fields.  This includes during your cardio workout and at all times on the strength floor.  Let's keep each other safe.

august 24 - We are open!

Fall 2020 is here.  Classes have started.  And our doors are open at the following facilities:

  • Campus Recreation Center (REC)
  • FIT
  • Pools
  • Riverfront Park

The WELL remains closed.

We have new hours across all our facilities.  You'll need to make a reservation to enter our building and pools.  The virtual Group Fitness schedule is live.  Esports has drop-in games.  

There are two events for you this week:

  1. Rec the Night -- Get to know us...virtually
  2. Find Your Team on Teams -- Connect with our Sports Clubs...virtually

august 17 - getting ready

On Saturday, August 22, we will reopen the REC and Riverfront Park.  You'll need to make a reservation to join us at the REC.  Reservations will open at noon on Friday (8/21).  No reservations are needed to visit Riverfront Park.  Hours for all our facilities are different than last semester -- and they may change over the course of the Fall. 

The FIT and our two pools (REC & FIT) will open on Monday, August 24.  The WELL will stay closed.
