Adventure Abroad: Puerto Rico Service Trip

San Juan, Puerto Rico
March 15 - 21, 2020 (Honors LLC)

May 10 - 16, 2020

The Puerto Rico Service & Adventure Trip is a collaboration between the Outdoor Recreation Education Center and the Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement Bulls Service Breaks program, designed for students who have a passion for nature and outdoor education and volunteer service. In May 2020, we will return to Puerto Rico for our eighth service trip since hurricanes Irma and Maria struck the island in fall 2017. We will work in El Yunque, the only tropical National Rain Forest in the National Forest Service system, and Hacienda Tres Angeles, a family owned organic coffee farm, where we rebuild trails and replant crops that were devastated from the storms. If you love nature, connecting people to service outdoors, and want to learn more about long-term recovery in Puerto Rico, this is the trip for you!

All meals, transportation in-country, and accommodations are included. Participants are only required to purchase their flights to and from Puerto Rico during the program dates.

Cost for USF students (flights not included): $600
