Hello! I am Carolyn George, a licensed psychologist at the USF Counseling Center. I had the opportunity to complete my post-doctoral fellowship at the USF Counseling Center and Student Health Services and have been working with college students on and off for the past five years. I also spent time working for the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the Department of Veterans Affairs. I believe these experiences have provided me with a variety of experiences that I use on a daily basis in my counseling work.
I understand every client is different and everyone is experiencing various challenges, so although my theoretical approach is traditionally Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I do believe in tailoring treatment to the individual needs of each client. I work from a strengths-based and solution-focused approach and together we can identify the changes you want to make in your life.
