Hello, it's so lovely to meet you!
My name is Kirstin Tally and I am a Graduate Student Clinician here at the USF Counseling Center. That is a fancy way of saying I am finishing out my Master’s of Social Work while providing services to you all.
I was born and raised in Orlando before moving to Missouri for college. I completed my Bachelor’s of Social Work at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. I then went on to get my Master’s in Higher Education with an emphasis in conflict resolution from Abilene Christian University. I am currently working on my Master’s of Social Work at Southeastern University. When I’m not learning or working you can find me at an aquatic spin class, Tuesday night bingo, winning a game of Dutch Blitz, or reading on the beach.
I work with students to help them overcome life’s challenges with dignity and grace in order to increase self-efficacy, promote resilience and build sustainable relationships. My main approach is to recognize you as the expert in your own story. I love helping students befriend their nervous system and make their bodies feel like a safe home. I use a solution’s focused approach with a taste of polyvagal theory.
