My name is Dr. Roxanne Popple, and I am a Postdoctoral Scholar completing a Fellowship with the Counseling Center. College is a unique time of growth, challenge, and perseverance. I view all forms of counseling like a GPS; we all experience difficult and trying moments in our lives that may warrant some extra guidance to help navigate those difficulties. I look forward to working with you all in identifying strengths and developing coping skills to enhance your experiences within your own life and relationships. A little bit about me: I am originally from Pennsylvania and grew up in a small lake-town. Pizza, sushi, and hot dogs are my favorite foods. I am an Aries and am always on the lookout for trying new cuisines, finding live music, and exploring new places. I completed my doctorate at Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania (yes, where the television show "The Office" is from), my internship in a Family Medicine Residency at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Indiana, and am currently completing my postdoctoral fellowship here at USF Tampa and USF St. Petersburg.
I discovered my passion for working with college students very early on in my training throughout doc school, and my experience working with the diverse USF population has strengthened that passion and has also allowed me to grow along with the students in their journey.
