Resident Assistants (RAs) and Community Managers (CMs) significantly impact and influence student success at the University of South Florida – Tampa. Via the residential curriculum, RAs and CMs implement various initiatives that facilitate student learning. They are peer educators who make our communities the best place to live, learn, and work.

CMs support students in Greek Village and must be a member of the chapter they serve. RAs support students in our more traditional residential communities. The responsibilities, roles, and expectations of RAs and CMs are very similar.

New Student Staff (RA and CM) Applications for the 2019-20 academic year will open on September 17 and is available via the Housing Portal within Resident Assistant and Community Manager Applications and Forms. This application includes responses to two short answer questions and a video. The application will close on November 26 at 11:59 p.m.

New 2019-20 RA/CM candidates are encouraged to join the 2019-20 Residential Education Student Staff Facebook Group to connect with other applicants and members of the Student Staff Selection Committee. This is a great place to ask questions and participate in optional Facebook Live! Chats on Wednesday, October 24 at 7 p.m. and Thursday, January 24 at 7 p.m. Participation in this Facebook Group is not required as part of this selection process.
