First Semester GPA Differential (DIF)

FTIC STUDENT ATTRIBUTE

• The DIF* attribute indicates that a student’s first semester in college grade point average (GPA) is significantly lower than their cumulative high school GPA.
• The DIF model is run at the end of a student’s first Fall semester.

TRANSFER STUDENT ATTRIBUTE

• DIF* indicates that a student’s first semester at USF GPA is significantly lower than their cumulative Transfer GPA.
• DIF is run at the end of a transfer student’s first Fall semester.
   

 

*DIF excludes any students that achieve below a 2.0 GPA in their first semester as they would already be identified.
