Deadlines to apply for Global Learning Scholarships are listed by application cycle. Apply for the cycle that matches your program semester. Cycles and deadline dates will be updated when they come available.

How to Apply
The Global Learning Office (GLO) has integrated the scholarship application into our study abroad program applications. There is no separate application for any GLO-administered scholarship. When applying for a study abroad program, you’ll be prompted asking if you wish to be considered for GLO scholarships. If you select “Yes”, you will be prompted to answer several follow-up questions. By completing this one application, you will be considered for all GLO-administered scholarships for which you meet the eligibility criteria.
Eligibility & Requirements
To be considered for a scholarship, you must:
- Review eligibility details on the GLO Administered Scholarships page.
- Non-degree seeking students are not eligible for financial aid or USF-administered scholarships.
- Submit the complete scholarship application when you apply to your study abroad program.
- Commit to your chosen study abroad program by the specified deadline upon award notification.
- Pay your required program deposit.
Failure to meet any of these conditions will result in scholarship ineligibility and revocation of any awarded funds.

Why am I being asked about international business?
Interest in international business is a requirement of one of the scholarships. Students can review the requirements of each GLO Administered scholarship here.
Pell Information
What does “Pell eligible” mean? How do I know if I am Pell eligible?

- Upload is for initial screening, verification is for final awarding
Is my specific program eligible for these scholarships?
- Each scholarship has different requirements. They can check the individual scholarship requirements on the scholarship information page here.
- All students who apply are automatically considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.
- Some scholarships are bound to specific programs, others are not. No scholarships may be used for non-affiliate programs.
- Non-degree students are not eligible for USF-administered scholarships and should seek funding through their home institutions.
What happens if I cannot pay the program deposit before the scholarship decision?
Scholarships are being awarded to eligible students on a first come, first served basis. Students will be notified of scholarships while they are in the Accepted stage.
Would I have to repay the scholarship if I withdraw for illness, emergency, or program cancellation?
- For Program Cancellations, the scholarship will not have been awarded as scholarships are processed by the Office of Financial Aid during the week after add/drop during the term the student is abroad.
- For withdrawal due to illness or emergency, those questions should be directed to
the fiscal team.
- That being said, scholarships that have been paid out, historically, have not been retracted. (since they don't pay out until the student is going abroad).
