Bio
Maria del Carmen Rodriguez is a native from Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, she earned her MA in Political Science at USF and is currently a Ph.D. student in Government. Maria del Carmen’s background is very broad. She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) in 1978 with a BS in Biology. In 1985, she completed credits towards an Industrial Chemistry degree while working as a Chemical Technician at the Sun Oil Company in her hometown. Then, she decided to join the US Navy, where she served honorably for twenty years as an Electronic Technician (with a Metrologist specialty), and as a US Navy Recruiter. During her first years in the US Navy and while stationed in Rota, Spain, she earned a MPA from Troy State University in 1993. When she retired in Mayport, FL in 2005, she worked with Ameri-Force Staffing Agency as a recruiter, and as a Biology teacher in Jacksonville, FL, and later went back to work with Ameri-Force. Maria, decided to continue serving our country and has been working with the Federal Government during the last ten years.

Immigration to include: DACA/DAPA, Asylees, Refugees, and Human Trafficking. Also interested in International Law and Affairs related to immigration issues
