Civic Engagement & Service

Civic Engagement Programs

Bulls Service Breaks

Bulls Service Breaks provide a variety of low cost, week long and weekend service opportunities. There is no more powerful service experience than when students are fully immersed in new communities and social issues.

Bulls Service Breaks - International

These two week, service immersion programs are a unique opportunity for you to travel to a new country, engage in strong direct service, and participate in cultural immersion experiences all while reflecting on what you have experienced and learned through the process. While it is noncredit bearing there are expectations that students participate in reflection and small group discussion throughout the process for maximum benefit. And, students must be willing to participate in service that can be both person to person as well as manual labor (i.e. painting, moving furniture, cleaning, building, etc) while on the experience.

Bulls For Kids

Bulls For Kids is the University of South Florida's Dance Marathon, a movement of student-run philanthropies benefiting children's hospitals around the country. Bulls For Kids is the largest student-run philanthropy on campus. As a year-long movement, Bulls For Kids isn't simply one event, it's a year-long movement of events and fundraisers. The work of Bulls For Kids during the 2017-2018 academic year will benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children.  We celebrate our fundraising efforts with an end of the year 12-hour celebration event in the spring. The 2017 Dance Marathon event took place on February 25, 2017, and raised $151,845.63.  The 2018 Dance Marathon event is scheduled for March 3, 2018.  To learn more, visit http://bfkvpcommunication.wixsite.com/bfkw
