Services

The Office of Transfer Student Success provides a range of services to prospective, transitioning and current transfer students to ensure their experiences are smooth and efficient.

Some of our services include:

  • Administration of the Fuse program, including curriculum alignment, advising, tracking and special offerings.
  • Regularly-occuring virtual information sessions about preparing for, applying, and transferring to USF.  See our Contact Us page for dates/times and the meeting link.
  • Phone, video, email, and in-person academic advising for prospective and transitioning transfer students, advising on applying to USF, credit transfer, major-specific transfer requirements, and other transfer-specific advising.  See our Contact Us page to learn more about accessing our academic advising resources.
  • Advising at Florida College System Partner Institutions. Check back in September 2024 for an updated calendar on where and when we will be visiting this Fall!
  • Academic support to current USF transfer students to advise on success strategies.
  • Oversee the Academic Transitions Course (SLS3113), a three-credit upper-level elective course designed to help transfer students adapt to a new academic environment. You can find more information on the course by clicking here.
  • Hosting 2 transfer student organizations, including the Transfer Engagement and Achievement Mentorship (TEAM) program and the Beta Phi chapter of the Tau Sigma National Honor Society.
  • Outreach events and workshops both on USF's campus and on FCS partner campuses. Past events include HCC/USF Day, Office of National Scholars Workshop, Pre-Health Professions information sessions and more.
  • Articulation work, including developing course acceptance processes and clearer communication to prospective students about credit transfer.
