At the University of South Florida’s Department of Emergency Medicine, our Simulation Division plays a vital role in advancing clinical excellence, patient safety, and interprofessional education. Through immersive, high-fidelity simulation, we prepare healthcare professionals to respond to critical moments with precision, empathy, and teamwork.
Our simulation faculty lead innovative training for medical students, residents, fellows, and interprofessional teams across a wide range of clinical scenarios — from pediatric resuscitation to mass casualty response. Housed within USF Health CAMLS, one of the largest freestanding simulation centers in the world, our team leverages cutting-edge technology and educational frameworks to create impactful learning experiences.

What sets us apart is our deep integration into clinical education and academic research. Our faculty are national leaders in simulation-based assessment, curriculum design, and debriefing methodology. We are proud to offer the Interprofessional Simulation Fellowship, a unique, non-ACGME accredited program that trains future simulation educators and leaders to influence healthcare on a systems level.
Whether training the next generation of emergency physicians or partnering with hospital systems to improve safety and performance, the Simulation Division at USF Emergency Medicine is committed to making a difference — one scenario at a time.
