The USF College of Public Health (COPH) alumni community showed their Bull pride during a week packed with energy, connection and celebration as part of USF’s 61st Homecoming. The COPH community came together to make memories and celebrate what it means to be a Bull.
Working Bulls Happy Hour
On Thursday, Oct. 16, alumni who are also USF employees gathered at World of Beer for the COPH Working Bulls Happy Hour.
The evening brought together both familiar and new faces, connecting COPH alumni from across campus in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks courtesy of the COPH while testing their knowledge in a spirited round of USF trivia.
Attendees networked, learned about upcoming alumni events and took home a variety of giveaways. COPH Alumni Society board member Kelly Maharaj shared a special surprise by distributing the custom 35th birthday party favors in honor of the alumni society’s milestone anniversary. It was a lively evening of connection, celebration and Bull Pride that set the tone for the rest of Homecoming week.
USF Health Homecoming Parade Watch Party
The celebration continued on Friday, Oct. 17, as USF Health joined together for the Homecoming Parade Watch Party.
Alumni, students, staff and faculty were offered a prime viewing spot for the parade, along with food trucks, giveaways and entertainment. To build cross-campus excitement, USF Health gathered data this year highlighting how many of its students are proudly representing the Bulls both in the classroom and on the field.
Among them are four football players — #17 quarterback Byrum Brown, #6 Mudia Reuben, #11 Keshaun Singleton and #22 Chase Garnett— who balance rigorous academics in USF Health programs with the demands of Division I athletics. Beyond the gridiron, the Homecoming spirit was also powered by 33 Herd of Thunder (HOT) marching band members along with 12 color guard and twirlers and countless cheer and Sundolls.
These student-athletes and performers exemplify the strength, pride and balance that define the Bull community proving that the passion for USF Health starts long before graduation and continues long after.
